What is Clinic in a Box?

Clinic in a Box is an outreach health service for males and females aged under 19 years old.

Young people can discuss with a qualified nurse any health issues or concerns they may have including but not limited to the following:

·  Smoking

·  Alcohol

·  Drugs

·  Healthy Eating

·  Pregnancy Testing

·  Contraception choices

·  Emergency Contraception

·  Chlamydia testing via Got it?

·  Weight/BMI check

·  Bullying

·  Condoms/Condom demonstration

·  Self-examination for breasts and testes

·  Relationship problems

·  Stress

Clinic in a Box is completely confidential and we would only break your confidence if we believe you or another person to be at risk of harm. We would always try and discuss this with you first.
Call 024 7624 6554 or text CIB to 07917 651746 to have someone call you back.
Aged over 19? Then Contraception and Sexual Health (CASH) Services are available throughout the City for both males & females.  Call 024 7684 4105 for details and appointments.

Got it?, Clinic in a Box, CASH and GUM all operate using the same confidentiality policy. You will be asked a few details including your name, age and contact details – some people are tempted to make this up but remember that everything is kept completely confidential anyway, even if you are under 16.
The only circumstance in which a member of staff would break a person’s confidence would be if they believe that they or another person was at risk of harm or in serious danger and even then they would discuss it with you first.
All members of staff deal with various people every day and understand some are nervous, scared or embarrassed so they will always try to make the visit as comfortable and private as possible.
