Project description / summary:  The project will hire a two person crew and vehicle together with the usual tools and equipment to provide a cleansing service for 37 hours per week on unadopted land in the area.  The vehicle and protective clothing worn by the crew will carry the NDC, CCD and Whitefriars logos.  The project will aim to improve the environment in the NDC area by providing a scheduled and sustained cleansing programme and will response to residents and community organisations wishing to dispose of unwanted items who would otherwise have no means to do so.  The proposed service will remove all letter, weed, leaves, detritus including medium weight items occurring as a result of fly-tipping, and a programme of weed control will be introduced.
