PASSPORT TO LEISURE AND LEARNING CARD FREE TO NDC RESIDENTS FOR LIMITED PERIOD

From Tuesday 17th February to Sunday 31st March the Passport to Leisure and Learning Card is FREE for residents living in the NDC area saving you £4.00!

  • the card is only free to those residents who meet the application criteria (see list above) and proof of address must be provided
  • no refunds for existing residents who are already PTLL card holders
  • customers must bring their own passport-sized photo
  • application forms are available at Moat House Centre and the NDC office

What is a Passport to Leisure and Learning?

A Passport to Leisure and Learning (PTLL) offers reduced prices for a variety of activities at many venues across the city.
Residents and non-residents of the city who qualify for a Passport to Leisure and Learning can benefit financially as well as improve their health and fitness, by joining the scheme.

Adult Passports - do I qualify?

Yes if you or your partner are:

  • Over 16 and claiming a qualifying benefit (see list below) OR
  • If you are aged 16-19 years and still in full time education
    (with a parent still receiving child benefit for you or on a work based Governmental Training scheme)

The card currently costs £4.00 adults and £2.00 for children.
From the 1st April this changes to £4.50 adults and £2.25 children.

You qualify for the PTLL card ONLY if you are on the following benefits:

  • Council Tax Benefit - (Single occupancy, Council Tax exemption and reduction does not apply)
  • Housing Benefit
  • Income Support, Attendance Allowance, Disability Living Allowance, Incapacity Benefit and Industrial Disablement
  • Pension Credit
  • Working Tax Credit (WTC)
  • Job Seekers Allowance
  • Work Based Learning for Adults or Government training scheme

Children’s Passports

If you are entitled to a Passport to Leisure and Learning and have children under the age of 16, then they can get a Children’s Passport too. This means that they can also get discounts at some venues.

Leisure Plus One

Leisure Plus One is a discount card for people who due to a disability, need help to take part in leisure activities. With a Leisure Plus One card, your helper/carer will get free or cut price admission to assist you while you take part in your chosen activity. A Leisure Plus One is free to those people who hold a current Passport to Leisure and Learning.

However if you have a disability and are not eligible for a Passport, then the Leisure Plus One card will cost you just £2. There is no charge for a child’s Leisure Plus One card if they are under 16 years old.

How do I obtain a Passport to Leisure and Learning?

You will be able to pick up an application form at the Moat House Leisure and Neighbourhood Centre or at the NDC office on Hillmorton Road Once completed go to the new Centre with your form and take with you:

  • Proof of benefit or training programme
  • A passport sized photograph of yourself
  • The relevant card fee
