Four Resident Associations operate within the local area
Wood End Residents Action Group (WERAG)
Henley Green Residents Association
Deedmore Tenants and Residents Association
Manor Farm Residents Association
Each Association is fully constituted and consists of a management committee and has regular meetings each month.
Wood End Resident's Action Group
Covers the area of Wood End From Milverton Road, to Deedmore Road to River Walk before the Deedmore Roundabout.
The aims of the group are to:
- "create a pleasant and safe area to live in" by representing the views of the local people and issues that are raised to Housing Associations, City Council, police and other service providers and sharing information and lobbying at local and National level.
- "promoting and maintaining a community spirit in the area" through events and activities, as well as welcoming everyone to join in the group and activities.
- "Encouraging young people to take part" to ensure the next generation has its voice heard.

Deedmore Tenants and Residents Association
Covers the area of Deedmore Road, The top of Winston Avenue, Monkswood Crescent, Petitor Cresecent, Dering and Eccles Close.
The aims of the group are to:
Seek to maintain a community spirit in the area
Develop and sustain links with police, local authority agencies and others to improve the safety, cleanliness and appearance of the local area.
Represent the views of all of the local residents to the above.
Manor Farm Residents' Association
Chair – Wendy Brown
This group is open to all residents of Manor Farm.
The aims and objectives of the organisation are;
- To put the heart back into the Manor Farm Community.
- To be a voice for the opinions and views of the residents of Manor Farm to the wider community to ensure that services are developed to include the needs of Manor Farm.
- To work towards the improvement of the Manor Farm estate, whether housing, services, facilities and activities for all ages on the estate and so on.
- To bring Manor Farm residents together as an area, through events, and other community activities such as summer bashes, children's trips, older people's activities and parties for all ages.
- To improve the reputation of the Manor Farm estate within the wider community and the City of Coventry, through working with the media, Coventry City Council and local people to challenge negative perceptions of the area and promote the positive aspects of life in Manor Farm.
- To work in partnership with other local agencies such as the Police, City Council, and Housing Associations to improve services and facilities within the Manor Farm estate.
Meetings take place every 4 weeks on Wednesdays at Henley Green Community Centre. The next meeting will be on Wednesday 10th September at 11am. Please call NDC for information on further meetings.
Henley Green Residents Association
The association aim to :
- Promote & implement neighbourhood watch, working in partnership with local residents and the police.
- Promote local community activity, particularly with young people to reduce vandalism and crime from drug abuse.
- Work in partnership with the police to improve police servicing of the area.
- Work with Whitefriars and Coventry city council to improve the area and promote the need for a local warden.
We meet every 1st Tuesday of the month
7-8:30pm @ Watcombe Day Care Centre, Watcombe Road.
We also have a number of other community groups that run in the area depending on your interests.
African Women and Children Support Group
Chair- Zaneli Katunda
The aims of the group are to bring people from different backgrounds together;
- to chat about problems.
- to support each other.
- to share information and experiences.
- to maintain and support the group's cultures and customs
- to educate the wider community by raising awareness and breaking down barriers through opportunities to share understanding
- to link and network with other agencies to meet the needs of African women and the wider community
Membership is open to all women and children under 16 who are interested in joining and agree with the group's aims and objectives, regardless of:
- age
- where they live
- where they are from (they do not have to come from Africa)
Meetings take place every first Friday of the month at 9.30am at the Family Project.

Unity Action Forum
This is a group for Black and Ethnic Minority (BME) residents of the WEHM area.
The aims of the group are:
- To have their voices heard
- To provide information and resources
- To provide opportunities for those who find it difficult to access other services
- To contribute to the local area development
- Enhance integration processes
- Support for new communities in the area
Membership is open to all residents who support the aims of the group.

North East Community Events Team
The aims of the group are to:
To have regular meeting for the group.
To have representation from all area of the community (wehm) on the group
Be a collective point for information on developing and delivering events and activities for the community.
- Information where to go for funding
- Information of what activities/artist is available
- Information on good practice.
- Information on policies and procedures.
- To operate as a support network for other community groups in Coventry.
- To help promote events and activities.
- Be a voice of all sectors of the community.
- To work in partnership with agencies, officers and local community groups.
- To be open to all members of the community, no matter of colour, faith, age, sex or political persuasion.
- To hold community events for deprived sectors of the community.
Young, Old, BME, Lone Parents, Disabled
- To create and maintain a support network of information and volunteers.
- To help build relationship and bridges between all members of the community.
- To help build local residents capacity in events management.
