Sustainability and legacy are two of the overall aims of the New Deal for Communities programme and Coventry has made a real step forward to achieving this with the emergence of their succession company 'Moat House Community Trust'. A group of residents from our NDC Partnership Board formed a sub-group to look at the succession and sustainability of the NDC programme beyond 2011.

A first constitution was proposed to the Board from the sub-group, laying out plans for the succession vehicle.  After amends, a final version was then taken back to the Board in September, which they approved to form Moat House Community Trust. Although in the early stages at the moment, NDC Partnership Board Resident Chair Roger Tipton has been appointed as the Director of the Trust and NDC Director Afzal Hussain as Company Secretary.
