Start date: 2007/08

End date: 2007/08

Project Lead: Jonathan Durnin

Lead Organisation: ERS Limited

Project description / summary:

  • The Skills Audit will produce a skills Strategy for the NDC area which will give a rounded view of the existing skills base in the community, the nature of provision and its relationship to demand for employment by sector.
  • It will build heavily on the analysis undertaken by Neighbourhood Employment and Skills Plans. Using their key findings to shape the direction of the strategy.
  • Following consultation with key funding agencies, community groups, learning providers and larger employers the strategy will be produced that will be implemented by the NDC.  In partnership with other agencies.

The Service is a process rather more than a simple research exercise. It delivers the working document and then builds the implementation partnership for it.

The Project will deliver a skills 'balance sheet' will be commissioned for the NDC area, which will give a rounded view of the existing skills base in the community and its relationship to demand for employment, by sector.
