Home Safety

West Midlands Fire Service offer a free service where fire fighters from your local fire station will carry out a free home fire safety check.
The home fire safety check will take about half an hour of your time. Fire-fighters will check your home and give you fire safety advice in order to keep you safe from fire and also fit a free smoke alarm(s), if required.

For more information or to apply for this please call the Free phone Helpline on 0800 389 5525, you can also apply online at www.wmfs.net

Bonfires/ Arson

Throughout the year there are increased incidents of Arson and Bonfires, these are not only around Bonfire night.

Did you know that Fire Fighters are called out on average ten times a day to fight needless rubbish fires, which means they are not available for real emergencies.

Please report any stockpiles of rubbish to the local agencies, including wardens, housing, Coventry NDC and Coventry Direct.

Please ensure that you only leave your bin full of rubbish out on collection days, as this may become a target for Arson incidents.
