Exciting employment opportunities

Purple Patch Communications is a Social Enterprise that delivers exciting communications solutions to a range of clients in the public, private and voluntary sectors, while supporting and investing in the people and places that make up the 'WEHM' area of Coventry – Wood End, Deedmore, Henley Green and Manor Farm estates.  It utilises the skills of experiences of the communications professionals who are part of the Coventry New Deal for Communities programme, delivering the following services –

  • Graphic and web design
  • New media and ecommunications
  • Marketing and communications strategies
  • Public relations and media
  • Events management

It is a business unit of Moat House Enterprises Ltd, which is in turn a wholly owned subsidiary of Moat House Community Trust, a charity and company limited by guarantee that has been created to ensure the continued regeneration of this characteristically deprived area of Coventry, which has benefited from the ten year New Deal for Communities programme.
The following opportunities exist within Purple Patch Communications –

Development Manager
This post will develop new business for Purple Patch Communications, selling the services and experience of Coventry's first communications social enterprise to prospective clients, across sectors.  You will have a strong background in business development, ideally with the communications industry and be confident in generating business from a standing-start.  An ex communications professional or sales background would be ideal complete with a passion for the sector and Purple Patch ethos.

Communications Officer
You will be responsible for delivering a variety of communications services for Purple Patch including writing copy for newsletters and leaflets, press releases and media relations.  Experience of writing marketing plans is essential and experience of working in a marketing or PR agency would be preferable.  Candidates must have a passion for communications and a willingness to work to the ethos of Purple Patch Communications.

Web and Graphic Designer
Proficient with packages such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, In-Design and Dream weaver, you would ideally be able to deliver web design as well as graphic design work, and have good concept creativity.  Experience of working in a design agency would be ideal and you will have good client-liaison skills and an ability to work under pressure to deliver to tight deadlines.
