  • About Project

Name: Development of Astroturf Floodlit Facility

Start date: 2006/07

End date: 2006/07

Project Lead: Alan Shaw

Lead Organisation: Henley College

Project description / summary:  The project will convert a two court netball/tennis tarmac playing area into an astroturf floodlit area. This new facility will be particularly suited to Junior Football, girls/womens football, adult five a side competitions and coach education.

The project will also refurbish an additional two court netball/tennis area into a safe, non-slip facility to encourage the continued pursuit of netball and tennis coaching and recreational sessions.

The project will provide an accessible facility for WEHM/NDC residents. It will provide weekend, evening and holiday activities and will encourage young people to become involved in active leisure in out of school hours.

Funds Granted: £24,000
