Crime Theme Objectives are to:

  • Remove the stigma of crime and anti-social behaviour being associated with the area
  • Improve the working relationship between the Police, other Statutory Agencies and residents to create a climate, where if a crime is committed or witnessed it is the norm to report it and there is confidence that a response will be made
  • Support and provide opportunities for young people to prevent their engagement in criminal activities
  • Re-establish a community spirit.

The key achievements over the past year have been: -

  • Employment of the Anti Social Behaviour Officer
  • Improvement in the working relationships with partners to tackle ASB
  • Installation of 3 ANPR cameras
  • Reduction in the levels of recorded crime
  • Significant reduction in the levels of ASB
