Chippie Fields

This well-used playing field was improved with semi-mature trees being planted around the perimeter, new benches and a sunken grass amphitheatre constructed to provide an informal play or meeting area.

Clennon Rise

Semi-mature trees have been planted to provide an avenue of greenery on this road.

Hilmorton Road Community Green

The walkways through this former demolition site were re-established into gravel paths and low level grass mounds, wild flowers and boulders were added to create diversity and play opportunities.

Hilmorton Road Shops

The car park and pedestrian area has had a tarmac surface laid to smarten up the outside of these local shops. Trees and shrubs have been planted and new pathways created.

Manor Farm

A wide bund with trees on top has given this area a perimeter and an informal seating area.

Moat House Park

After surveys of the ecology, trees and history of this site, additional semi-mature trees were planted in preparation for further works in 2008/9 on the neighbourhood park.

Monkswood Crescent

Semi-mature trees have been planted around the perimeter of these amenity grass areas.

Petitor Crescent

Once a garage site and a hot spot for vehicle crime, this area of hardstanding was removed and turfed over. Access to the rear of properties was maintained whilst a rising bollard ensures that only those who should access the site are able to.

Bridge Maintenance

Several bridges lie on the perimeter of the WEHM where paths cross the River Sowe. Repairs and painting have been carried out to smarten up these access routes.

Traffic Calming

Speed cushions were installed along Milverton Road to ensure road safety on the approach to the junction with Hilmorton Road.
