Community Minibus Continuation
back
  • About Project

Name: Community Minibus Continuation

Start date: 2004/05

End date: 2007/08

Project Lead: Neville Carpmail

Lead Organisation: Coventry City Mission

Project description / summary:  The project is the continuation of a community minibus project which has already received NDC funding. This project has been very successful and is valued highly by the current users. Failing to continue the facility will have a huge impact on the current user groups, as there is no other service providing this facility in the area. The mini-bus is currently available to transport pre-registered groups of the NDC area for social and leisure activities at a reasonable price. It caters for many groups of people ranging from the disabled to schoolchildren. It enables these groups to have access to activities they would not otherwise have accessibility to due to a variety of different reasons ranging from mobility problems to affordability. Some of the activities and events group's access are; fundraising events, training events, trips for youngsters with learning difficulties, meetings, luncheon club and conferences.

Funds Granted: £68,000
