About Moat House Community Trust

Moat House Community TrustSustainability and legacy are two of the overall aims of the New Deal for Communities programme and Coventry has made a real step forward to achieving this with the emergence of their succession company 'Moat House Community Trust'. A group of residents from our NDC Partnership Board formed a sub-group to look at the succession and sustainability of the NDC programme beyond 2011.

A first constitution was proposed to the Board from the sub-group, laying out plans for the succession vehicle.  After amends, a final version was then taken back to the Board in September 2007, which they then approved. Moat House Community Trust has now been in existence for around 2 years, and the core staff in place for over a year. A comprehensive strategy has been agreed and the team of Directors and staff - including a number of local residents - have begun to deliver local projects and are working to secure a future when the NDC has gone.
